Migrating resources to Azure.
Expandable SDWAN solution over Nordic region. Project have started with creating a proof of concept with suppliers then implement this in one country, validate it and later expand into other regions.
As a cost saving initiative, the goal of this project was to remove/replace servers locally with azure-based servers. Project started with mapping out all the 15 servers that was managed locally today, understand health, software used and build a plan on how these should be handled one by one. Currently we have managed to replace and remove 7 servers, with the goal to remove all by the end of 2023 as old legacy systems is replaced.
Implemented a new domain, azure AD structure, intunes and handed out new devices for all users. As part of a team, executed my role as infrastructure technician for Nordic region and expanded my role into project management. Documented current infrastructure (Servers, printers, user devices and Network for all sites) as well as generated instructions for end user for enrolment of new devices. Coordinated, informed internal/external resources and management. Reported weekly on updates and progress of the project.
Gathered information of the current setup and contacted 5 suppliers quote to replace around 80 printers in 35 locations in Sweden. Coordinated with local resource to provide access to locations, provided technicians with network requirements and supported suppliers with rollout. End solution was a simple but effective uniflow with follow me from Canon which both gave better security and reliability.
